The Ateneo de Buenos Aires, the second best in the world library The Bookstore El Ateneo Grand Splendid in Buenos Aires, as has been distinguished as the second most beautiful bookstore in the world by a recent article in British newspaper The Guardian. The list
compiled by Sean Dodson brought together the 10 most important, given to the University one of the most privileged both for its architectural qualities as conservation and details of the set. The library occupies an area of \u200b\u200b2000 square meters on 3 floors with
4 rows of boxes and a vaulted ceiling painted with biblical motifs by the Italian painter Nazareno Orlandi. The theater was built in 1919 by architects PerĂ³ and Torres Armengol. The scenario then has become an exclusive cafeteria with a grand piano, which invites you to savor the typical Buenos Aires-style coffee, croissants and inevitable. Another unique aspect of the library is able to consult books located in comfortable armchairs, giving rise to a reading corner for customers.
Per day visit the library about 3000 people and annual volume of books sold is more than 700,000 copies.
